JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Displaced persons from 17 provinces and repatriates belonging to 13 provinces have been living in eastern Nangarhar province, the provincial Refugee and Repatriates Department said on Monday.
Over 18,000 families from different insecure provinces, with the majority from Kunar, migrated to Nangarhar this year, according to officials.
Refugees Department head Najibullah Qayyumi during an interview told Pajhwok Afghan News the influx of refugees and their inhabitance level in Nangarhar was very high.
