KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): At least 18 Afghan Local Police (ALP) personnel have been killed and two others wounded in a Taliban attack in Kunduz province, an official said on Tuesday.
Amanullah Qureshi, the district’s administrative chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News the militants stormed a security check-post in Arzbegi village of Aliabad district on Monday night.
He said eight ALP men were killed and their check-post destroyed. “Reinforcements sent to the area came under Taliban ambush and 10 personnel were killed and two wounded.”
