KABUL in Haska Mena of eastern Nangarhar province.
At least 72 people were killed and more than 30 others wounded in the blast that ripped through a mosque during Friday’s prayers in the Haska Mena district four days back.
There has been no claim of responsibility for the attack while Taliban and a number of embassies in Kabul have strongly condemned the attack.
A statement from Russia’s Foreign Ministry condemned the attack and termed it crime against humanity.
“There is no doubt that the purpose of the attack was to keep the Afghan community in awe and sabotage the peace process in Afghanistan,” the statement read.
Russia urged the Afghan government to take immediate measures to secure civilians’ lives and enhance effectiveness of the fight against terrorism on Afghan soil and firstly destroy Daesh hideouts in Afghanistan.
