<p>KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): At least six policemen have been killed and three others wounded in a <a href="/en/taliban" class="glossify-link">Taliban</a> attack in southeastern Khost province, an official said on Monday.</p>
<p>Police chief Brig. Gen. Sayed Ahmad Babarzai told Pajhwok Afghan News that the incident took place in the Blat Bagh area of Trizia Alisher district on Sunday night.</p>
<p>Gen. Babarzai said five policemen and a prosecutor were killed and three others wounded in the militant attack on a patrol vehicle.</p>
<p><a href="/en/talib" class="glossify-link">Talib</a> Mangal, the governor’s spokesman said both sides suffered casualties in the overnight clash. However, he did not give exact figures.</p>
<p>Public <a href="/en/health" class="glossify-link">Health</a> Director Dr. Habib Shah Ansari confirmed receiving six bodies and three injured people from the site.</p>
<p>The Taliban, who are often blamed for attacks on the security personnel, have not yet commented on the ambush.</p>
