HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): At least five Afghan Local Police (ALP) personnel have been shot dead by a guest in western Herat province, an official said on Tuesday.
Jilani Farhad, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the guest had been invited to an ALP check-post in Oba district on Monday night.
After dinner, the guest opened fire at the ALP personnel manning the post. At least five policemen, including their commander, were killed.
A security source, wishing anonymity, said the checkpoint commander, named Saraf, had invited the guest, who shot dead . . .
