22 more IS fighters surrender in Nangarhar

<p><a href="/en/afganistan/kabul" class="glossify-link">KABUL</a> (Pajhwok) Twenty-two more Daesh (Islamic State) rebels have surrendered to security forces in eastern Nangarhar province, says the Ministry of Defence (MoD).</p>

<p>In a statement, MoD said the rebels surrendered during an operation in Achin district. The 22 member of Daesh also handed over 18 weapons to the government.</p>

<p>Recently, 280 militants, including <a href="/en/women" class="glossify-link">women</a> and children, have turned themselves over to security forces in the province.</p>
