FIROZKOH (Pajhwok): Violence against women province, an official said on Tuesday.
Woman’s Affairs Director Halima Parestish told a gathering marking International Day of Elimination of Violence against Women that 113 cases of violence against females were registered this year.
She recalled 170 cases of violence against women had been recorded last year. The gender-based violence decreased as public awareness increased in the province.
The director added 11 cases had been addressed and 76 victims transferred to safe houses. The remaining are under investigation . . .
