Hotaki named acting head of Administrative Affairs Office

KABUL (Pajhwok): Ilham Omar Hotaki has been appointed as acting head of the Administrative Affairs Office at the Presidential Palace, an official said on Thursday.

Hotaki replaces Syed Wahid Qatali, who was recently appointed as deputy director of the National Security Council (NSC) in compliance with a presidential order.

Feroz Bashri, head of the government’s Media and Information Centre, told Pajhwok Afghan News Hotaki had been appointed head of the Affairs Office.

Hotaki, son of Aziz Rahman, was born in Kabul. He obtained a Master of Engineering degree from a Moscow university. He has previously been director of the National Procurement Authority (NPA).

Hotaki has also served as deputy director of the Kabul New Town Development and senior technical advisor at the Japan International Cooperation Office (JICA)
