KABUL -- was reopened for traffic on Thursday morning, an official said.
Samiullah, the highway maintenance commander, told Pajhwok Afghan News four teams had been working since yesterday to reopen the highway.
He said huge trucks would also be allowed after the highway was cleared completely. The busy Salang pass was closed on Wednesday after heavy snowfall.
In the winter, traveling the highway is dangerous for passengers due to heavy snow and cold weather.
