BAMYAN CITY (Pajhwok): More than 8,000 families in central Bamyan province will be at risk of death if donors do not reach out to them, an official warned on Wednesday.
Governor Mohammad Tahir Zahir told a press conference 61.3 percent of Bamyan’s population lived under the poverty line -- a situation that has sparked concerns for the administration.
He urged national and international donors to immediately launch the distribution of assistance to the families; otherwise they would face enormous hardships.
