KABUL on Wednesday said nearly 22,000 people died in 180 state-run hospitals of various ailments in 2019.
Navid Shams, in charge of Health Management Information System (HMIS) of MoPH, in an exclusive interview with Pajhwok Afghan News said that 15,064 people lost their lives in hospitals due to 10 reasons.
These reasons included childbirth, infection disorders, asthma, respiratory diseases, cardiac ischemia, other types of heart diseases, stroke, brain diseases, traffic accidents and bullet injuries, he said.
