PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): In an effort to break a deadlock in peace negotiations, the Taliban chief has agreed to a brief ceasefire with the United States and reducing attacks on the Afghan armed forces, media reports say.
“After discussions over the past few weeks, our leadership council has agreed to a 10-day ceasefire with the US. For the Afghan government and its armed forces, our leadership has decided to reduce attacks,” a Taliban leader was quoted as saying by The News.
