PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): The Main Line-I (ML-I) railway track will be extended by 154 km from Peshawar to Jalalabad, the capital of eastern Nangarhar province, a cabinet minister says.
Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmad, speaking at the inaugural ceremony for a freight train, made the announcement in Lahore on Saturday.
The minister called the completion of the ML-I project his main objective, saying he would stand down immediately after the plan was executed.
