FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): At least 499 kilograms of drugs were torched in western Farah province on Monday, an official said.
Police chief Fazal Ahmad Sarwari told Pajhwok Afghan the security forces had seized the drugs in different parts of Farah City over the past 10 months.
He said the narcotics included heroin, opium, crystal meth and hashish. At least 114 individuals had been arrested in connection with the drugs, he added.
According to reports, most of the drugs in Farah are produced in Bakwa district.
