PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): At least 11 policemen, including a commander, have been killed as a result of a Taliban attack in northern Baghlan province.
A security official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Pajhwok Afghan News militants stormed a check-post in the 3rd police district of Pul-i-Khumri on Monday night.
He said 11 police personnel, including commander Fareed Andarabi, were killed in the overnight assault. The attackers also torched two military tanks, the official revealed.
