FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): After four months of curtailed operations, telecom companies in western Farah province have decided to provide services from 8am to 4pm.
Governor Mohammad Shoaib Sani told Pajhwok Afghan News the Taliban had forced the telecom firms to reduce their operations. But the networks restarted providing services on Wednesday.
Afghan Wireless, Roshan, Etisalat, MTN and state-run Salam are the firms active in Farah province.
Acting Director of Telecommunications Ghawsuddin said the issue was addressed with the help of tribal elders.
