KABUL (Pajhwok): President Ashraf Ghani and US Special Envoy for Afghan Reconciliation Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad have discussed reduction of violence and its management.
In a statement, the Presidential Palace said the two leaders met on Wednesday evening and conferred on issues related to reduction of violence.
Khalilzad briefed Ghani, who has secured a second term as president, on future steps towards reining in violence. The Taliban have offered to halt attacks in the country for a few days . . .
