KABUL in a competing ceremony at the Presidential Palace on Monday.
A number of foreign diplomats, Afghan parliament members, government officials, jihadi leaders, the chief justice, ministers, presidential candidates, military generals, air force officials, foreign and domestic guests were present at the ceremony.
Abdullah took oath from Mualvi Shahzada, a religious scholar and member of the High Oath Taking Council.
The incumbent CEO was administered oath as president minutes after Ashraf Ghani was sworn in as president at a separate venue erected inside the grounds of the presidential palace.
