KABUL do not reduce their violence.
The US and Taliban signed a peace deal in Doha last month following a week of reduction in violence period that saw the violence downing 95 percent across the country.
But after the deal, the Taliban intensified attacks on Afghan security forces who have been in defensive mode.
A statement from the NSA office issued on Friday said Mohib met with UN special envoy for Afghanistan Tadamichi Yamamoto on Thursday evening.
Both discussed the Afghanistan peace process and escalation of Taliban attacks against Afghan security and defense forces, the statement said.
Mohib said the Afghan forces remained in defensive posture and would return to offensive if the rebels did not reduce violence.
