MoPH spokesman Wahidullah Mayar said two of the positive cases belonged to western Herat province that borders Iran and the one was detected in Nimroz province.
He said so far three people had died from coronavirus and five had recovered.
The highest number of positive coronavirus cases has been registered in Herat province so far.
