SHARAN (Pajhwok): The first positive coronavirus case has been registered in southeastern Paktika province, an official said on Wednesday.
Governor Spokesperson Haji Mir Zaland told Pajhwok Afghan News seven suspected cases from Paktika had been sent for test in which one was proved positive.
“This person is the resident of Sarobai district and arrived in the area from Dubai, his coronavirus test was proved positive,” he said.
Government has closed schools, public gathering, government institutions and imposed partial lock down to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
