KABUL (Pajhwok): Amid a political deadlock in the country, senior figures on Sunday called for President Ashraf Ghani to temporarily halt high-level appointments.
Ex-president Hamid Karzai, religious scholar Abdul Rab Rasoul Sayyaf, former speaker Yunus Qanuni and Karim Khalili issued the call in a joint statement.
