KABUL (Pajhwok): The Trump administration has once again asked President Ashraf Ghani and his main rival Dr. Abdullah to sort out their political tiffs amid the Covid-19 crisis.
While announcing final results from last year’s presidential vote, the Independent Election Commission declared Ashraf Ghani the winner and Abdullah the runner-up.
However, Abdullah rejected the outcome, alleging widespread fraud in the ballot. Subsequent talks between the political foes have failed to yield any breakthrough.
