KABUL on Thursday discussed the importance of restarting grain and wheat exports to Afghanistan.
US diplomat Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad tweeted: “Talked with #Kazakh SR Kaliyev earlier this week on a range of topics, including the importance of restarting grain & wheat exports to Afghanistan.”
The two sides agreed regional connectivity and coordination was not only fundamental for lasting peace but also important to address global threats to their collective future as the current fight against COVID-19 showed.
