PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Foreign investors have asked the Pakistan government to control the Afghan Transit Trade Agreement (ATTA) to avert losses to the national exchequer.
In a wave of budget proposals to the government, the Overseas International Chamber of Commerce and Industries (OICCI) called for amendments to the agreement.
The ATTA should be revised on the basis of the current ground realities to protect the revenue base of the country without hurting the real spirit of such accords, the chamber argued.
