KABUL (MoPH) on Wednesday said 259 new positive cases of coronavirus had surfaced in the country over the past 24 hours.
Forty-nine of the fresh cases were found in northern Balkh province, MoPH spokesman Dr. Wahidullah Mayar told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Of 619 suspected Covid-19 cases, 259 individuals tested positive, taking Afghanistan’s tally to 5,226, the official added.
He said 132 Afghans had died and 648 recovered from the pandemic so far . . .
