GARDEZ (Pajhwok): At least 39 people were killed and wounded as a result of a suicide truck bombing in the capital of southeastern Paktia province on Thursday morning, officials said.
Abdullah Hasrat, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the bombing took place on a road between an Afghan National Army (ANA) facility and the customs department in 1st police district at around 9am.
At least 28 people suffered casualties, the official said, adding an ANA soldier and three civilians were among the dead.
