KABUL (Pajhwok): The death toll from coronavirus in the United States has risen to 90,000 with more than 1.5 million infected, according to data by the Johns Hopkins University.
After emerging in Wuhan, China last December, the COVID-19 virus has spread to at least 200 countries.
According to the Johns Hopkins University in the United States, which publishes information and figures on the corona virus, more than 4,750,000 people have been infected with the virus worldwide as of Sunday.
The source added that 313,000 people have died from the coronavirus so far, mostly in European countries and the United States.
The United States has suffered the most casualties, with 1.5 million people infected and more than 90,000 killed so far.
According to the source, 276 people were killed and 28,000 died in Spain, 225 people died in Italy and more than 33,000 people infected, 240,000 people died and 33,000 people infected in the United Kingdom, and 272,000 people infected in Russia and 2,500 people died and 179,000 infected in France and 28,000 died.
According to reports, the coronavirus kills six to seven thousands people in the world every 24 hours and about 80,000 people are infected.
