KABUL (Pajhwok): The government has rejected as groundless the Pentagon’s claim that half of the Afghan army and police personnel are infected with the coronavirus.
The Ministry of Defence said on Wednesday: “Based on our assessment, the (Pentagon) report that says 50 percent of security and defence forces have been infected with the coronavirus is inaccurate.”
A statement from the ministry said all preventive measures had been taken before the virus spread and security leadership had issued instructions to all army and police units.
