SHARNA/MAHMOOD RAQI (Pajhwok): A roadside bomb tore through a motorcycle in southeastern Paktika province on Monday morning, killing a child and injuring another person.
Police spokesman Shah Mahmmod Aryan told Pajhwok Afghan News the landmine blast took place in Siado area of Mata Khan district.
Mata Khan, a resident of the area, confirmed one person was killed and another was wounded in the blast.
Separately, in central Kapisa province, a man was gunned down in front of his home in Mahmood Raqi, the provincial capital, last night.
