HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): A senior customs official escaped unharmed in a roadside bombing that killed there security guards in western Herat province on Sunday.
The blast aimed at the Customs Department head also left three security guards and a civilian injured, said Islam Qala Commissar Mehrullah Baloch told Pajhwok Afghan News .
He said the blast happened at around 11:00am when Custom Department Head HamdullahHamdard was on his way to Islam Qala Township from Herat City.
