India to fund 5 Afghan education projects

 

KABUL (MoHE) said on Sunday.

The agreements were signed between Economy Minister, Higher Education Minister, Deputy Education Minister and Indian Ambassador to Afghanistan, the ministry said in a statement.

The five projects are part of Indian’s assistance for Afghanistan.

The projects would help improve the higher education and the education ministries, said Musafa Masour, minister of economy.

Acting Higher Education Minister Abdul Tawab Balakarzai and Deputy Education Minister Abdul Subhan Rauf thanked India for its support to the education sector and pledged to properly monitor the implementation of these projects.

Indian Ambassador to Afghanistan Vinay Kumar said construction of parliament building, Salma Dam and some roads were examples of India’s support to Afghanistan.
