German envoy, Baradar discuss reduction in violence

KABUL Abdul Ghani Baradar on the latest steps in the peace process.

Suhail Shaheen, spokesman for Taliban’s Qatar office, said Markus Potzel and Baradar also discussed reduction in violence, start of intra-Afghan talks and the exchange of prisoners.

Saheen said the Taliban remained committed to the Feb. 29 peace pact with the United States. He hoped the other sides would also implement the agreement by honouring their pledges.
