Qamar Gul to reach Kabul for living soon: Govt

KABUL, who killed the murders of her three family members, says she would stand with security forces to maintain security of her area.

Few days back, Taliban insurgents attacked the house of a local commander in Giru district and as a result the militants killed the commander along with his wife and another relative.

Qamar Gul, 24, the only daughter of the slain parents, escaped unhurt and killed two of the attackers with her father’s weapons.

After the incident, the governor’s house decided to shift Qamar Gul along with her little brother to the capital of Ghor for their safety.

She is currently living in the governor’s house and is expected to be shifted to Kabul soon.

While crying, she said the Taliban attacked her father because he was a local commander and elder of the area.

“I’m not afraid of Taliban, instead they should afraid of us. I’m proud of killing them and I ask other girls to join security ranks and fight the militants,” she remarked. She urged the government to pave the way for education in all areas of Ghor.

Governor Noor Mohammad Kohnaward commended the bravery of Qamar Gul and told Pajhwok the girl and her little brother had been brought to Ferozkoh following presidential direction and would soon reach Kabul.
