Heading high-level team, Ghani reaches Zaranj

KABUL (Pajhwok): President Ashraf Ghani on Sunday arrived in northwestern Nimroz province at the head of a high-level delegation, his office said.

A statement from the Presidential Palace said Ghani reached Zaranj, the provincial capital, on the morning. He is expected to meet elders, ulema and traders.

The statement said Ghani would participate in a ceremony marking the dispatch of the first shipment of Afghan goods to Iran’s Chabahar port.

About 570 tonnes Afghan products are being sent to India through the Iranian port.
