80 of 400 key Taliban prisoners released

 

KABUL prisoners, a statement from the National Security Council (NSC) said on Friday.

The released happened in the light of Consultative Loya Jirga (CLJ) decision in which the government had been authorized to free 400 Taliban prisoners, the statement said.

The grand meeting was held last week which approved the release of 400 Taliban prisoners.
