HEART CITY (Pajhwok): One woman was killed and four others were injured as a result of an explosion in western Herat province on Monday, an official said.
Police chief Abdul Ahad Walizada told Pajhwok Afghan News the blast took place inside a house in Herat City, the provincial capital, at around 7:45am.
He said one woman was killed and two children, a man and a woman were wounded in the blast. The victims are from the same family.
He added preliminary police investigations showed the explosion was caused by a hand grenade . . .
