KABUL by India has arrived at the Chabahar Port in Iran, a media report said on Saturday.
The director-general of Sistan and Baluchestan Ports and Maritime Department said: “The eighth vessel loaded with 8,097 tonnes of wheat has arrived at the strategic Iranian port.”
Mehr News Agency quoted Behrouz Aghaei as saying the wheat — part of a gift of 75,000 tonnes from India — would be transported soon to Afghanistan through land routes.
The Iranian port, according to the official, has handled more than 53,000 tonnes of India’s wheat for Afghanistan since the beginning of the current year (March 20).
