GARDEZ (Pajhwok): Negligence on the part of security institutions and lack of coordination between them has resulted in deterioration of the security situation in southeastern Paktia province, a Wolesi Jirga delegation said Thursday.
The security situation in Paktia deteriorated over the past two months with increase in militant activities. Some culverts were blown up during this period and a road connecting Gardez with six districts has been blocked.
Addressing reporters here, the Wolesi Jirga delegation said the security leadership of Paktia was unconcerned about its responsibility . . .
