HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): At least 10 people, including women and children, were killed and another six injured as result of a traffic accident in western Herat province on Thursday morning, an official said.
Jilani Farhad, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News that two passenger vehicles collided on the Herat-Kandahar highway at around 4:30am.
He said five men, three women and two children were killed and six other injured in the collision.
Public Health Department spokesman Mohammad Rafiq Sherzai confirmed receiving three bodies and seven injured people from the accident site.
