KABUL Organization (WHO) worker died from coronavirus in northern Takhar province on Saturday, an official said.
Masomah Jafari, deputy spokeswoman for the Ministry of Public Health, told Pajhwok Afghan News that Zamanuddin Shams, a WHO employee in the polio eradication department, died from the infection in Takhar on Saturday morning.
She added Zamanuddin Shams, who had worked for several years with national and international organizations in the field of vaccination, remained hospitalized for 26 days and unfortunately lost his battle for life on Saturday.
