Balkh governor’s driver shot dead; vehicle snatched

MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): Unidentified gunmen shot dead the driver of the governor for northern Balkh province on Monday, an official said.

Police spokesman Adel Shah Adel told Pajhwok Afghan News the governor’s driver Farhad was gunned down at 7:30am.

He said Farhad came under gun attack in Kamarband area on his way to office from home. The attackers took away the driver’s vehicle.

Recently, activities of irresponsible gunmen have surged in Mazar-i-Sharif, the provincial capital, sparking concerns among residents.
