<p>SHIBERGHAN (Pajhwok): The governor of northern Jawzjan province returned to his office from <a href="/en/afganistan/kabul" class="glossify-link">Kabul</a> on Saturday after a break lasting seven months.</p>
<p><a href="/en/maulvi" class="glossify-link">Maulvi</a> Abdul Latim Azizi left the province for Kabul after the announcement of Presidential Election seven months ago and the administrative affairs have since been run by his deputy.</p>
<p>But since Jawzjan is considered Gen. Dostum’s stronghold, his party tasked Maulvi Abdul Hai Hayat, a member of the Provincial Council, to run the provincial affairs in the provincial headquarters of Junbish-i-Islami, a political party headed by Dostum.</p>
<p>Recently, Maulvi Hayat’s supporters though gatherings had asked the concerned authorities to appoint Hayat as Jawzjan Governor.</p>
<p>But Azizi, who just returned to Shiberghan, did not comment about the gatherings that took place in the support of Hayat.</p>
<p>Governor’s Spokesperson Abdul Maroof Azad said Aziz<a name="_GoBack" id="_GoBack"></a>i would go to his office onward from Sunday.</p>
<p>Referring to the entry of Azizi, Hayat said: “I and Azizi are from one political party and the fact who will lead the affairs of the province belongs to leadership of the province,” he said.</p>
