<p><a href="/en/afganistan/kabul" class="glossify-link">KABUL</a> (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Public <a href="https://www.pajhwok.com/en/health">Health</a> (MoPH) said on Wednesday 141 more individuals tested positive for Covid-19 in <a href="https://www.pajhwok.com/en/afghanistan">Afghanistan</a> in the past 24 hours.</p>
<p>In a statement, the ministry said 468 individuals underwent tests and 141 of them were diagnosed with the virus, taking the nation’s tally to 40,510.</p>
<p>At least 105 new positive cases were reported in Herat, eight Balkh, eight in Takhar, seven in Kunduz, six in Kabul, two each in Kandahar, Paktia and Zabul, and one in Bamyan.</p>
<p>About 30 people recovered from the pandemic during the period, pushing up the number recoveries to 33,790, the statement added.</p>
<p>Two individuals lost their lives to the disease in the past 24 hours, taking the number of deaths to 1,501.</p>
