65 new positive Covid-19 cases reported in Afghanistan

<p><a href="https://www.pajhwok.com/en/afganistan/kabul">KABUL</a> (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Public <a href="https://www.pajhwok.com/en/health">Health</a> (MoPH) said on Sunday 65 more individuals tested positive for Covid-19 in <a href="https://www.pajhwok.com/en/afghanistan">Afghanistan</a> in the past 24 hours.</p>

<p>In a statement, the ministry said 444 individuals underwent tests and 65 of them were diagnosed with the virus, taking the nation’s tally to 40,733.</p>

<p>Of the fresh cases, 19 were reported in Herat, 10 in Balkh, nine in Takhar, eight in <a href="/en/afganistan/kabul" class="glossify-link">Kabul</a>, five in Kunduz, four in Zabul, three in Laghman, three in Kundar, two in Nimroz and one each in Kandahar, Nuristan.</p>

<p>At least 106 persons recovered from the pandemic during the period, pushing up the number of recoveries to 34,129.</p>

<p>At least three people lost their lives to the disease in the past 24 hours, taking the number of deaths to 1,514.</p>
