FAIZABAD (Pajhwok): At least 535 kilograms of narcotics have been seized in northeastern Badakhshan province, an official said on Saturday.
Nek Mohammad Nazari, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the drugs included 445 kilograms of opium, 86 kilograms of hashish and four kilograms heroin.
He said the narcotics were seized during an operation on late on Friday. Two suspects were also detained along with a vehicle, the official concluded.
