Taliban told to wage attacks but deny credit: NDS

KABUL (Pajhwok): Taliban’s Quetta Shura has directed its fighters to carry out terrorist attacks in public places and do not claim responsibility, a statement from the National Directorate of Security (NDS) claimed on Sunday.

“Taliban fighters have been told to conduct terrorist attacks in public places and refrain from taking credit for such attacks,” the statement said.

The NDS assured the people it would identify Taliban cells in cities and they would be arrested or attacked.

According to the statement, security forces have arrested a group of Taliban mine planters in Kabul City.

According to the statement, Naqibullah son of Ghulam Nabi, also known as Commander Dadullah, had informed the Taliban about the journey of a security forces convey to Syagard district of Parwan province.

It added that Naqibullah was transferred to Kabul and made in-charge of a three member mine planter group. They were tasked to affix magnetic bombs to security forces vehicles and blow them up.
