KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan registered 132 new positive coronavirus cases on Friday taking the total national tally to 47,388, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) said in a statement.
Of the fresh cases, 16 positive cases registered in Kabul, six in Herat, 11 in Kandahar, 21 in Balkh, nine in Paktia, 17 in Kunduz, 12 in Baghlan, nine in Panjsher and Nimroz each, three in Badghis, 11 in Helmand, four in Ghor, two in Ghazni and one each in Zabul and Logar provinces.
Forty-five coronavirus patients have recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours taking the total national tally of recovered persons to 37,347.
Six people have died from the virus that take the total number of dead persons from the respiratory disease to 1,847.
