GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) on Wednesday said the first consignment of Covid-19 vaccine will reach Afghanistan within next seven months, with work ongoing on building freezers to store the vaccine.
MoPH spokesperson Akmal Samsor told a news conference in Kabul that Afghanistan will receive Covid-19 vaccine from two different manufacturers and also the World Bank will provide vaccine to 20 percent of Afghans if the vaccine production increased in the market.
He emphasized on preparing a team of professional medical staff and vaccinators for administering the vaccine to infected persons.
Samsor also requested the Afghans to follow coronavirus preventive measures in order to protect themselves from the infection.
