KABUL (Pajhwok): French President Emmanuel Macron would self-isolate for the next week after being diagnosed with Covid-19 on Thursday.
Macron’s office confirmed in a statement: “The president tested positive for Covid-19 today.” He was tested after the onset of the first symptoms.
In line with French regulations, the president will isolate himself for seven days. However, he will continue to work and carry out his activities remotely.
All his trips had been cancelled, including an upcoming visit to Lebanon on December 22, a spokeswoman for the presidency said.
